Code of Conduct

Scope of This Code

This Code applies to all individuals and teams involved with the Titans Cricket Series, including:

• Registered players and substitute players.
• Team captains, managers and owners.
• Umpires, scorers and match officials.
• Tournament organisers, coordinators and volunteers.
• Broadcasting, photography and media personnel.
• Sponsors, partners and venue representatives.
• Spectators and guests attending TCS matches.

The Code applies before, during and after matches, including at grounds, team areas, official meetings, digital platforms and tournament communication channels.

General Standards of Behaviour

Every participant is expected to behave in a respectful, responsible and sporting manner.

Participants must:

• Follow tournament rules and official instructions.
• Communicate respectfully and honestly.
• Arrive on time and be prepared for the match.
• Maintain discipline within their team.
• Respect venue rules and local residents.
• Protect the safety and dignity of others.
• Accept responsibility for their own behaviour.

Participants must not behave in a way that damages the reputation, integrity or safety of the Titans Cricket Series.

Match-Day Conduct

Players and team representatives must maintain discipline throughout the match-day environment.

Prohibited behaviour includes:

• Deliberately delaying the start or progress of a match.
• Repeatedly disrupting play or official procedures.
• Throwing equipment in anger.
• Damaging stumps, boundaries, dressing areas or venue property.
• Entering the playing area without permission.
• Provoking opponents or creating unnecessary confrontations.
• Refusing to follow reasonable instructions from officials.
• Using dangerous or intentionally reckless physical conduct.

Celebrations and competitive expression are welcome, but they must not become abusive, threatening or directed at humiliating another participant.

Respect for Umpires and Officials

Umpires, scorers and tournament officials must be treated with respect, regardless of whether a player or team agrees with a decision.

Players must not:

• Use abusive or insulting language towards an official.
• Intimidate, surround or physically approach an official aggressively.
• Repeatedly argue after a decision has been communicated.
• Make threatening gestures or remarks.
• Attempt to pressure an official into changing a decision.
• Publicly accuse an official of dishonesty without evidence.

Only the captain or an authorised team representative should raise a formal clarification during or after a match.

Responsibilities of Captains and Managers

Captains and team managers are responsible for helping maintain discipline within their squad.

Their responsibilities include:

• Ensuring players understand tournament rules.
• Submitting accurate squad and availability information.
• Communicating fixtures and changes to their team.
• Preventing unnecessary disputes with officials.
• Assisting organisers in resolving match-day issues.
• Ensuring only eligible players participate.
• Controlling the behaviour of team members and guests.

A captain may be held responsible where serious team misconduct occurs and reasonable steps were not taken to prevent or control it.

Respect for Opponents and Teammates

Competitive cricket must remain respectful. Players must avoid conduct intended to humiliate, intimidate or provoke others.

Unacceptable behaviour includes:

• Personal insults unrelated to cricket.
• Targeted or repeated verbal provocation.
• Mocking injuries, appearance or personal circumstances.
• Deliberately celebrating in an opponent’s face.
• Bullying or isolating a teammate.
• Encouraging spectators to abuse another participant.

Reasonable sporting interaction and competitive banter must never cross into abuse, harassment or discrimination.

Abuse, Harassment and Discrimination

TCS does not accept abusive, discriminatory or harassing conduct.

This includes behaviour based on:

• Race, ethnicity, nationality or language.
• Religion or belief.
• Gender, identity or sexual orientation.
• Disability, illness or physical condition.
• Age, appearance or economic background.
• Any other personal characteristic.

Abuse may be verbal, written, visual, physical or digital. Serious incidents may result in immediate removal from the venue and further disciplinary action.

Violence, Threats and Safety

Physical violence, attempted violence and credible threats are strictly prohibited.

This includes:

• Hitting, pushing, grabbing or attempting to strike another person.
• Threatening physical harm.
• Using equipment as a weapon.
• Entering another team’s area to start a confrontation.
• Continuing aggressive behaviour after being instructed to stop.
• Encouraging others to participate in a fight or disturbance.

Organisers may immediately remove any individual considered a risk to the safety of players, officials or spectators.

Integrity of the Competition

All teams and players must compete honestly and in accordance with the tournament rules.

Serious integrity violations include:

• Using an unregistered or ineligible player.
• Submitting false player identities or documents.
• Manipulating scores, statistics or match records.
• Deliberately underperforming to influence standings.
• Offering or accepting improper benefits connected to a result.
• Attempting to manipulate an umpire, scorer or organiser.
• Sharing false evidence during a disciplinary review.

Proven integrity violations may lead to match forfeiture, disqualification, suspension or removal from the tournament.

Grounds, Facilities and Equipment

Participants must respect the grounds, facilities and equipment provided for the tournament.

Teams are responsible for:

• Keeping team areas reasonably clean.
• Using facilities only for their intended purpose.
• Following ground safety and access instructions.
• Preventing deliberate damage to venue property.
• Returning borrowed equipment where applicable.
• Ensuring personal belongings do not obstruct match operations.

Teams or individuals may be held responsible for deliberate or reckless damage caused by their members or guests.

Digital and Online Conduct

This Code also applies to official and public digital communication connected with TCS.

Participants must not:

• Threaten or abuse players, officials or organisers online.
• Publish another person’s private information without permission.
• Create fake accounts to impersonate TCS or another participant.
• Share knowingly false allegations as established fact.
• Manipulate screenshots, scorecards or official communication.
• Use official groups for spam, commercial promotion or harassment.

Legitimate criticism and respectful disagreement are allowed. Personal abuse, intimidation and deliberate misinformation are not.

Media, Interviews and Public Statements

Players and team representatives may participate in interviews, match reports and promotional content.

Public statements should remain respectful and must not include:

• Threats or abusive language.
• Discriminatory remarks.
• Knowingly false allegations.
• Confidential tournament information.
• Comments intended to provoke violence or hostility.

Team captains should raise formal complaints through the designated tournament process rather than relying only on public posts.

Spectators and Team Guests

Teams are expected to encourage responsible behaviour from their supporters and invited guests.

Spectators must not:

• Enter the field of play without permission.
• Abuse players, officials or other spectators.
• Interfere with the match or broadcast area.
• Damage venue property.
• Use threatening, discriminatory or violent conduct.

Organisers and venue staff may remove spectators whose behaviour creates a safety risk or serious disruption.

Reporting Misconduct

Misconduct should be reported through the official TCS contact process by a captain, team manager, official or directly affected participant.

A report should include:

• The match, date and teams involved.
• The names of the individuals involved, where known.
• A clear description of what occurred.
• Relevant screenshots, video, photographs or witness details.
• Any immediate action already taken.

Reports should be made honestly. Deliberately false or malicious complaints may themselves result in disciplinary action.

Disciplinary Action

When reviewing misconduct, Team TCS may consider the seriousness of the incident, available evidence, previous conduct, impact on others and whether responsibility was accepted.

Possible actions may include:

• Informal guidance or a formal warning.
• Removal from the ground or match area.
• Match penalties or disciplinary points.
• Suspension for one or more matches.
• Removal from a squad or official role.
• Match forfeiture.
• Team disqualification.
• Temporary or permanent exclusion from TCS.
• Referral to venue authorities or law enforcement where necessary.

Serious violence, threats, discrimination, fraud or competition manipulation may result in immediate action before a full review is completed.

Reviews and Appeals

A player or team may request a review of a significant disciplinary decision by submitting a clear written explanation through the official contact channel.

A review request should identify:

• The decision being challenged.
• The reason the decision is believed to be incorrect.
• Any relevant evidence not previously considered.

A disagreement with the outcome alone may not be sufficient for a new review. The final decision will be communicated through the official tournament channel.
